We run live sound for bands and events throughout the South of England. This includes the hire of all the necessary equipment from mixers and mics to speakers and subs.

We can also record the event in multitrack if you wish – more information here.

In addition to all the relevant cables and stands, our live sound kit list includes:
• Behringer XR18 (see below for features)
• Powered EV speakers and sub
• SM58 & SM57 mics
• AKG drum mics
• Behringer condenser mic (to ring out the room)

Use your Ipad, tablet or smartphone to mix your own monitors
Multi-track recording capability (Available on request)
Numerous effects and dynamics capabilities including compression, reverb, PEQ etc.

Local bands include the Zig-Zig Band, Key Lime Pi, Rookswood and many others
We have also worked with Paul Stewart (The Feeling), Gary Wallis (Tom Jones) and Errol Kennedy (Imagination)

In addition to running live sound, we can also film your gig. Our kit includes the following:

  • Go Pro Hero 7 x2
  • Canon C100 Video Camera
  • Canon 5D MKIV, 7D and 70D
  • Full range of Canon L-Series lenses for all the above

We are based in Hampshire, but run live sound throughout the South of England.
We have also operated events in Berlin, Lisbon, Amsterdam, Rome and Paris, so can go pretty much anywhere you can get to in a van.

Our live sound rates include the hire of all equipment and having a technician set up and run the sound. Recording in multitrack is additional. Our editing rates can be found here (day rate is 12 hours – all timings include travel)

Meet the Team

Phin Hall

Phin set up HMS in 1994, focusing on tuition, composition and recording. He has been involved in running live sound for bands and events since 2004.

David Hall

David joined HMS following completion of his BTEC in media. He has worked as a sound engineer and audio editor since 2013. He heads up the recording and rehearsal side of the studio, and runs the desk for most sessions.
